End User License Agreement

1. Acceptance

This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) applies to the GEVEI desktop software and related installers, updates and components that reference this EULA (“Software”). By installing, accessing or using the Software, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

This EULA supplements the Terms of Service. If the two documents conflict, the Terms of Service control for account, subscription and service matters, while this EULA controls the software license unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

2. License Grant

Subject to this EULA, the Terms of Service and any applicable paid-plan limits, GEVEI grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable license to install and use the Software on compatible Windows devices for your permitted personal or business use.

A paid license or subscription does not transfer ownership of the Software to you. Your rights continue only while the applicable license, subscription or other entitlement remains valid.

3. Restrictions

Except where a restriction is prohibited by applicable law or an open-source license, you may not:

• copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or redistribute the Software;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software;
• bypass licensing, subscription, security or technical restrictions;
• remove proprietary notices, branding or copyright notices;
• use the Software to create or operate a substantially competing product by extracting protected functionality or materials; or
• use the Software for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, infringing or harmful activity.

4. Updates and Compatibility

GEVEI may release security fixes, bug fixes, feature updates and compatibility changes. You are responsible for installing supported versions when reasonably necessary for security or service compatibility.

GEVEI may provide update notices inside the Software. When an update is available, the Software may direct you to the official GEVEI website to download and install the latest release.

5. Your Content

You retain your rights in videos, audio, images, text and other content you process with the Software. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions necessary to use that content, including third-party material, music, trademarks, personal data and likenesses.

Where the Software connects to GEVEI services, your content may be transmitted or processed as described in the Privacy Policy to provide the features you request.

6. Third-Party and Open-Source Components

The Software may include third-party and open-source components. Those components remain subject to their applicable licenses. Where required, applicable notices are provided on the Third-Party Licenses page or with the Software distribution.

7. Ownership

GEVEI and its licensors retain all rights, title and interest in the Software, GEVEI branding, documentation and other GEVEI-provided materials except for User Content and third-party components. No ownership rights are transferred to you by this EULA.

8. Suspension and Termination

Your license ends when your applicable entitlement ends or when this EULA or the Terms of Service are terminated. GEVEI may suspend or terminate software access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, unlawful activity or serious violations of the applicable terms, subject to mandatory law.

After termination, stop using the Software and remove it from devices where required by the applicable terms.

9. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Software is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. AI-assisted analysis, highlight detection, metadata generation and other outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on or publishing them.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GEVEI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity arising from use of the Software. Nothing in this EULA excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
